Do I need to tell you that you need bread and paneer to make paneer sandwich? :)

But yes, when I went on to make one for myself last night, I got tomato, onion and green chillies too along with the loaf of bread and some paneer.

Once you get these basic stuff from a nearby store, preparing a sandwich for yourself is an easy job.

Chop onion, tomato and chilli finely. Grate the paneer if you can, otherwise cut it into small pieces. Now mix the whole lot.

Add little salt and red chilli powder and mix well. Once you have this mixture prepared, take bread slices, apply butter and roast them. If you have a toaster, put the paneer mixture between two bread slices and keep this in the toaster till the bread slices turn brown and crispy.

If you like it spicy, then suggest applying coriander chutney or chilli sauce after you have applied butter to the bread.

There you go! Your meal is ready!! Have a great week ahead.

Did You Know ?

Paneer is the most common South Asian Cheese.

There are many types of cheese that are made in India on a small scale, but paneer is the only cheese which can be compared to Western cheese in terms of texture.

1 cup of paneer equals more than 270 kcal of energy.

An average slice of packaged bread contains only 1 gram of fat and 75 to 80 calories.

Assuming a sandwich was eaten for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it would take 168 days to eat the amount of bread produced from one bushel of wheat. A family of four could live 10 years off the bread produced by one acre of wheat.

Breaking bread is a universal sign of peace. Bread is probably the one food eaten by people of every race, culture and religion.

In Britain, the ceremony of First Footing is traditionally observed in the early hours of New Year's Day. A piece of bread is left outside a door, with a piece of coal and a silver coin, and is supposed to bring you food, warmth and riches in the year ahead.

Murphy's Law dictates that buttered bread will always land buttered-side down.

Legend has it that whoever eats the last piece of bread has to kiss the cook.
